Step 1 of the switch conversion

Here you can see the "E" shaped spring keeper plate on the back of the switch and the "U" shaped snap spring for the points in the opening below the bar of the horizontal "E" keeper plate. The glue used appears to be an ACC type and the keeper comes free with very little effort, however the plastic is brittle and if not careful you can break of one of the legs of the "E".
